Dinner and a Movie at Alvin & Friends in New Rochelle

Feel like "Dinner and a Movie"? Alvin & Friends in New Rochelle is offering just that.

While tickets last, you can have a three-course prix fixe meal and a ticket to the hit film The Best Man Holiday, directed by New Rochelle resident Malcolm Lee.

Lee is one of the restaurant's investors, the film includes seven of Alvin Clayton's Matisse-inspired paintings.

According to Entertainment Weekly, The Best Man Holiday, which is a sequel to 1999's The Best Man, opened to a $30.6 million box office, well above its $17 million budget.

The film's stars include Morris Chestnut, Regina Hall, Taye Diggs, Terrence Howard and Nia Long.

The Internet Movie Database describes the movie as college friends reuniting after 15 years over the Christmas holidays and "they will discover just how easy it is for long-forgotten rivalries and romances to be ignited."

The meal at Alvin & Friends is $49.95, not including beverage, tax and gratuity.

The menu includes the choice of an appetizer (soup of the day or Caesar wedge salad), choice of an entree (fried chicken with mac & cheese, slow-cooked green; crispy fried catfish with ground grits, black-eyed peas, remoulade emulsion, or braised oxtail stew with peas and rice, cabbage) and choice of dessert (coconut cheesecake or amaretto bread pudding).
