Why does it cost so much for the average student in New Rochelle Public Schools )almost $11,000 perRead More child) when my children have gone to Catholic School all their lives at the cost of 35-60% less per child? (I will continue to eat pasta and drive an old car while others eat steak and drive Denali's)

It IS sad how many people did not vote. But it passed, so I have to look in the fall to see how muchRead More more I am paying so I can see how much I have to raise the rent on my tenants. Many of them think school taxes do not affect them and they vote yes. Well they have to pay too. I don't even have any kids in the school. It shouldn't all fall on me.

I think people don't think it matters whether they vote or not. The school budget always passes.Read More Plus only a small percentage of the school budget is not mandated by the state or the unions. It is a big percentage of our property taxes, but seems to be out of our control.

Jim Maisano is the Minority Leader of the Westchester County Board of Legislators. How about pickingRead More up a newspaper and reading it.
fuzzy May 21, 2013 at 06:38 pm
People don't know Jim is this guy for real?Just on that notion this guy would never get my vote.Read More Where did he come from under a rock? This sounds like a Noam boy someone to try to keep Jim busy so Noam can get more people in New Rochelle to vote.

Stavros, If the constituents you have spoke to don't know who Jim Maisano is , they must all beRead More living under a rock.

No Memorial Day Parade???!!!! Well done Mayor Bramson. You should be ashamed of yourself. ThankRead More God for the Veterans and Peter Parente for honoring our Vets on this day. Everyone should be waving their American and Gadsden Flags that day and beyond.

"We want to make sure those people are always remembered," he said. That's right MayorRead More Bramson and the other 4 puppets, the People of New Rochelle want to make sure those people are always remembered, including the one's that died under the Gadsden flag

86%? All at the same time? No way. Society would break down because everyone knows "if MamaRead More ain't happy, ain't no one happy."

I was curious about the survey that said that 86% of mothers feel unappreciated. The only survey IRead More could find, by the Institute of American values, said that 48% of mothers feel appreciated most or all of the time. I only found a summary, but it seems possible that only 14% feel appreciated all the time - the vast majority have times when we feel unappreciated. Anyway, I liked the fact that this article emphasized things that you don't have to buy - I ended up finding a survey that the thing that most mothers appreciate on mother's day is having their kids make breakfast for them, or clean for them - something they normally have to do.

"Did you know that as many as 86% of American moms feel unappreciated? " Plucked fromRead More nowhere.

What the Albany dopes don't want to admit as they disarm law abiding citizens is that the bad guysRead More will ALWAYS have access to guns.

Geez Sharan, from someone who panics when her Carmel Macchiato doesn't have enough creme. I takeRead More what you say with all of your experience in life or death situations as gospel. The real tragedy is this criminal being on the street. My condolences go out to the victim and her family and to the poor police officer and his family. Oh and Sharan let me know your plan for peace in the Middle East because we can implement it and have that whole mess wrapped up by Memorial Day.
