Holiday Activities, Wounded Warrior Concert and Farmers Markets

Here are some of the activities taking place around the area this weekend.

• Farmers markets are still in full swing in the Sound Shore area. Seasonal produce and other goodies are still available from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Winter Grand Market in the New Rochelle Public Library, 1 Library Plz. And from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in Larchmont is the Down to Earth Farmers Market held at the Metro-North train station. From 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday in Rye, the Down to Earth Farmers Market will be held in the parking lot behind Purchase Street stores. 

• Holiday In! A Musical for the Whole Family: The Bronxville Women’s Club and The Performing Arts Center of Southern Westchester are presenting a new, original holiday-inspired variety show called “Holiday In!” on Saturday. The show will be a fundraiser for the Bronxville Women’s Club’s historic Clubhouse, and select local children’s charitable organizations including Program Reach, Inc. Suggested tax-deductible donations: For VIP Seating, $80 per adult, $40 per child under the age of 12. General Admission: $40 per adult, $20 per child under the age of 12. Checks made to The Bronxville Women’s Club, is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization. • Westchester All Stars Christmas for Wounded Veterans Benefit Concert: Former Yankees great, and Latin Grammy nominee Bernie Williams is among the area musicians scheduled to participate in this charity concert on Friday. Other musicians scheduled to perform include Earl Slick, Jon Cobert, Tom Dudley, Bill Edwards, David Keyes and Duchess Di, Johnny Feds, and Da Bluez Boyz, Kristen Capolino, Jessica Lynn Scott and Mia Staton, Chuck St. Troy, The Renovators, and The Barnstormers. The emcee for the evening is actor Tony Darrow from “Goodfellas,” “The Sopranos,” and “Analyze This.” Proceeds from the show will benefit wounded veterans organizations The Bob Woodruff Foundation and Veterans Adaptive Sports, Inc. Tickets are $25, $35 and $50. • A host of holiday concerts will bring good cheer throughout the region on Sunday: 1.) The Colonial Nutcracker (full length version) at the Paramont Hudson Valley; 2.) Messiah Sing-Along with the New Westchester Symphony Orchestra in Briarcliff Manor; 3.) GraceMusic’s 44th Annual Messiah Sing in Nyack; and 4.) and a Wall-to-Wall Chamber Music Concert at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville.

• Holy Name of Jesus Holiday Boutique will be held from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the church located at 75 Petersville Rd. in New Rochelle.  There will be vendors including Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple and Habitat for Humanity. Take a horse and carriage ride at 7 p.m. Saturday. Here is more information
