Blues Brothers, Honoring Veterans and Christmas Tree Lighting

Here are some of the things going on this weekend.

1. Farmers markets are still in full swing in the Sound Shore area. Plenty of fresh seasonal produce and other goodies are still available from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Down to Earth Farmers Market in New Rochelle (North Avenue in front of the high school). And from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in Larchmont is the Down to Earth Farmers Market held at the Metro-North train station. From 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday in Rye, the Down to Earth Farmers Market will be held in the parking lot behind Purchase Street stores. Produce available now includes cabbage, broccoli, Brussels sprouts and squash.

2. The Official Blues Brothers Revue takes place at 8 p.m. Friday at the Paramount Hudson Valley, 1008 Brown St., Peekskill. Performers Wayne Catania and Kieron Lafferty capture the infectious humor and unbridled spirit of the Blues Brothers like no one since John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd walked the stage. Here's more information.

3. Veterans will be honored at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Rye African-American Cemetery. Here is everything you need to know.

4. While you are out shopping for Thanksgiving, why not stop by Ridge Hill in Yonkers for the Christmas Tree Lighting. The switch is flipped at 5 p.m. Saturday. Here are details.

5. Join the Larchmont Historical Society for "The Kemper Memorial: Honoring Our 101" to pay tribute to fallen local heroes and learn about the history of Kemper Memorial Park and its significance to past, present and future generations. The presentation by Mark Schumer and John Esposito will take place at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Larchmont Village Center behind the library, 121 Larchmont Ave.
