Weather, City Council Meeting and 'Much Ado'

Here are some of the things you should know for the week of Nov. 18, 2013.

1. The week will start out with showers and chance of thunderstorms. The National Weather Service said it will be sunny in the afternoon. The high will be in the mid 60s. Expect west winds at 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. The weather will be clear overnight with a low in the upper 30s. Don't hope for 60 degree weather for the rest of the week. The NWS is forecast temps in the upper 40s Tuesday and Wednesday.

2. The New Rochelle City Council will hold its monthly legislative meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 515 North Ave. The entire council meeting can be seen on Cablevision Channel 75 or Verizon FIOS Channel 28. You can see the meeting's agenda on the city's Web site.

3. Interested in learning how to use mobile technology to grow your business? Head to the Microsoft Store at 124 Westchester Ave. in White Plains Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Robert Cioffi, CEO of Progressive Computing (PCI), a computer consulting and network installation, design and maintenance firm serving clients from offices in Westchester County and Manhattan, is presenting a series of educational technology seminars for business owners. Each seminar will include a question & answer period. 

4. A fashion show to benefit My Sisters' Place will begin at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Weezie D. Ladies Boutique, 15 Park Pl. in Bronxville. The 5th Annual Holiday Charity Fashion show feature Weezie D. clients walking the runway wearing the hottest holiday trends. Admission to the charity show is canned food for Food Drive with Westchester Coalition for the Hungry and Homeless or an unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots Drive. 5. There will be two showing of the Joss Whedon film Much Ado About Nothing Wednesday at the Larchmont Public Library, 121 Larchmont Ave. The 2012 film is the latest film version of the Shakespeare comedy and is rated PG-13. The movie will be shown for free in the Village Center behind the library. Times are 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
