Common Core, School Board and Manhattan String Quartet
Here are a few things you should know for the week of October 28, 2013.
1. Common Core Learning Standards and other educational reforms will be discussed Monday, Oct. 28 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Port Chester Middle School in Westchester County. This is one of a series of forums taking place around the state. Here are the details.
2. The New Rochelle School District Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29 at Ward Elementary School. Click here for the agenda.
3. The Manhattan String Quartet will be performing at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29 at Sarah Lawrence College. The concert is free. Here is more information.
4. The League of Women Voters of New Rochelle is sponsoring a Candidates Forum at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30 for three County legislative districts: 7, 10 and 11. The forum will be at the New Rochelle City Hall, 515 North Ave., New Rochelle. Go here for the schedule of speakers.
