325th Exhibit, Election Day and Wine Class

Here are some of the things you should know for the week ahead.

1. The New Rochelle 325th Anniversary Exhibit opens Friday, November 8 at the New Rochelle Public Library. The exhibit charts milestones in the city's history with text and archival photographs. While the exhibit was first displayed at City Hall in April, there is now a new sound component that allows visitors to hear the "voices" of prominent individuals who wrote about the city in diaries and autobiographies, as re-enacted by New Rochelle High School students and adult actors.

2. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday to elect, among others, county executive and county legislator.

3. After last night's dip into the low 30s, the rest of the week doesn't seem to be so bad. Monday's high will be hear 47; Tuesday's, 53. Wednesday will be up to near 64, with Thursday near 65. Friday's high temperature goes back down slightly to near 52. Nighttime lows won't get below freezing through the rest of the week.
