Physicians and health-care professionals who work with teens can learn more about the latest research-based information and materials on the SBRIT (Screening, Brief Intervention & Referral to Treatment for Substance Abuse) at a FREE seminar on Thursday, December 13th.  The seminar takes place from 8:00 - 11:30 AM at the Larchmont Avenue Church (60 Forest Park Ave., Larchmont).

The featured presenters are Gail D'Onofrio, MD, and Michael Pantalon, PhD, both of Yale Medical School. Participants will learn how to: use the medical "crisis" as an opportunity; improve patient outcomes with effective referral to/compliance with treatment; receive Midicaid and insurance reimbursment for using SBRIT.  The course meets the requirements for three CMEs.
