{UPDATE} Storm Leaves Hundreds Without Power

The National Weather Service is forecasting storms, hail and even a possible risk for a tornado for the Westchester area.

UPDATE (8 p.m.) -- About 240 Con Ed customers in Harrison are without power because of this evening's storm.

More wild, summer weather is on its way, Harrison.

The National Weather Service issued a Special Weather Statement and Hazardous Weather Outlook today for Westchester County.

According to the NWS, Harrison could see severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.

"Damaging winds and heavy rainfall are the main threats," the NWS stated. "Large hail is possible as well. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out."

In Harrison, expect storms mostly after 5:00 p.m. today. The high temperature today will reach 91 degrees, according to the NWS.

On Friday, thunderstorms are likely after 1:00 a.m., bringing hail, damaging winds and heavy rain. The wet weather is expected to return after 10:00 a.m., with a high temp of 93, according to the NWS.

The weekend kicks off on a wet note, with a 50 percent chance of showers and mostly cloudy skies Saturday.

However, Sunday looks like sunshine and temps in the 80s. Time to hit the beach!

There is a large tree down on North Street blocking one lane of traffic, be careful between St. Vincent's Hospital and the Westchester Country Club entrance.

Zach, I just saw your post and walked out onto North Street-all is clear from Cooper Place to Park Drive. Not many cars out but traffic is moving. I guess that they cleaned it up-Thank you Highway Department. There is still Thunder and lightening.
