Peruvian Craft Workshop Held at New Rochelle Library

Making a Peruvian wave bracelet was the craft of the day Tuesday at the New Rochelle Public Library.

A room full of children and their parents made the bracelets out of yarn under the guidance of workshop leader Debra Rosario.

The event marked the 30th anniversary of the library's International Music and Dance performances and preceded a concert Tuesday evening of Music and Dance from the Andes with Andinay.

Barbara Davis, the library's community relations coordinator, said the children were also treated to a selection of Peruvian music after the crafts.

"The young patrons had an enhanced experience," she said.
