2. Summer Israel Film Series

Why go: The last installment of the Summer Israel Film Series featuring three award winning short films from The Ma'aleh School of Television, Film & the Arts Jerusalem Israel. The films are The Divide (HaMavdil); The Shabbat Mother (Ema Shel Shabbat) and The Orthodox Way (Hok HaDatiim HaSheluvim). Admission price include movie refreshments. All films are in Hebrew with subtitles.
3. Cross County 2012 Summer Concert Series
Where/When: , 8000 Mall Walk, Yonkers, Tuesday, Aug. 7 at 7 p.m.
Why go: The Cross County Mall summer concert series continues with The Nerds, a rock 'n roll cover band. Guests are invited to bring their blankets and beach chairs to The Green, in the center of the mall, to enjoy some of the tri-state area's best bands performing live.
4. Twilight Tours of the Pet Cemetery in Hartsdale
Where/When: 300 E Main St., Elmsford, Wednesday, Aug. 8 at 6:30 p.m.

5. Emil Paolucci Summer Sounds Concert Series

Why go: The next Emil Paolucci Summer Sounds Concert Series at Hudson Park presents four singers from the New Rochelle Opera. The concert series, which features an eclectic menu of free music on eight consecutive Wednesdays in July and August, is presented by the New Rochelle Council on the Arts, in partnership with the New Rochelle Dept. of Parks and Recreation, and sponsored by Webster Bank.
