[MAP] Where to Watch Fireworks in the Lower Hudson Valley

Here's an interactive map of pyrotechnics coming up this weekend through July 4, including perennial favorites in Nyack, Rye, Ossining, Peekskill, Valhalla, Mamaroneck, Port Chester and New Rochelle.

Just roll over the icons on the map to see locations of upcoming fireworks shows.

In the comments, share your fireworks traditions, offer tips about where to park or the best place to unpack the picnic, upload photos or just let us know your opinion about the best show.

There is also a show on Sunday July 1 on lake road in congers, ny. The show should start around 9:45pm and its the final day for the Congers FD carnival, should be an awesome show! Can we get that added to your map?

As the 4th of July weekend approaches in Rye and we celebrate America's 236th birthday, I thought it would be fitting to listen to one of our most beloved American patriotic songs and view it as it pertains to the ways in which our Mayor Doug French protects our shorelines each and every day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wy0aBtzUbXQ America / Hen Island "Thank Mayor Doug French" Mr. Floatie (The Milton Harbor POO!) http://healtheharbor.com/video/mrfloatie.html

I'm told Kingsland Point (as mapped here) in Sleepy Hollow is not the best viewing (too many trees) so Barnhardt Park or just the end of Beekman will do!

Oh, Bear Mountain sounds like a great setting. Share how that was!
