The Baltimore Ravens' 28-13 victory Sunday over the New England Patriots, securing a spot in Super Bowl XLVII, gives New Rochelleans a personal reason to watch the sporting spectacle.
New Rochelle High School football star Ray Rice will be on the field with the rest of the Ravens.
According to Newsday, Rice tweeted his feelings after the game Sunday: "Bmore we made it #ravensnation we love y'all."
Rice, a running back, score the first touchdown for Baltimore's in the second quarter of the game against New England.
Baltimore will play against the San Francisco 49ers Feb. 3 in New Orleans.
San Francisco earned its spot in the Super Bowl by beating the Atlanta Falcons Sunday 28-24.
