In spite of the frigid weather, area youth and their families turned out Wednesday for a free hockey session at the Hommocks Park Ice Rink in Larchmont.

There were two sessions during which people could take the ice, after which there was an exhibition hockey game featuring New York Rangers alumni and the coaches of New Rochelle Lightning Hockey.

Hey wasn't newRoc Ice rinks party sold as a reason to build newRoc?, Maybe Mayor bramson could reply to this question.

I would love to hear Noam's response. New Rochelle used to have a beautiful skating facility at New Roc, which was given to Lou Cappelli for Target. No wait, Kohls. Now Monroe College. Thousands of kids are skating at Westchester Skating Rink in Elmsford every Friday, go see it for yourself. The revenue our city could have received! Once again, nice work Noam. Pelham, Mamaroneck, Rye, New Rochelle are all laughing at you.
