Weather played a big part in Wednesday’s schedule as rain caused some games to be postponed, but while fields all over the Hudson Valley were under water the Huguenot volleyball team played in a thrilling match against Scarsdale. 

Yesterday’s Results:

Sport: Volleyball

Game: Scarsdale @ New Rochelle

Score:  New Rochelle Lost 3-2

Highlights: The Raiders pulled out a thrilling victory in five sets on the road. New Rochelle began the day by honoring their seniors, and the adrenaline fuelled the Huguenots to a first set victory, but Scarsdale was able to steal the match in the end as the Raiders won the final game 27-25. Scarsdale led by Greta Miconi’s 16 kills while Carina Spiro added 15 for the visiting team. In the loss Ashleigh Scozzari had 26 kills while Carly Conca added 25 assists.

In boy’s soccer, New Rochelle will head into Rockland to face off against the Clarkstown North Rams. The game begins at 4:30 p.m.
