Gaels Pick Up Win in MAAC Championship

The Gaels softball team picked up a big victory late against Marist in the MAAC Championships. The Gaels won 3-0 thanks to a big fourth inning started by senior Deanne Algeo who singled in the inning to help bring Eileen McCann and Alyssa Malese across the plate. Sarah Jackson picked up the win for the Gaels as she struck out three batters in fourth inning. Jackson now stands at 16-11 on the year.

 

Monroe College Names New Coach

named Jonathan Garber the new head coach of the school’s woman’s soccer team. Garber has been the chief assistant in the men’s soccer program since 2008 and since then the Mustangs have been one of the best teams in the country with two trips to the National Tournament.

Score: Ursuline Won 17-9

Game: Ursuline vs. Westlake

Score: Ursuline 7-2

In baseball, New Rochelle will host Mount Vernon at 4:30 p.m.

Joe Girardi and the Yankees turned to Rafael Soriano in the ninth inning of last night’s 5-3 victory against the Rays. David Robertson is 1-1 in save chances this year and Soriano closed out the only game he has attempted so far, however the question still remains

I think it's great that Pamela Davis stepped up to run and I would be glad to vote for her any otherRead More year. But this year we have one of New Rochelle's most dedicated and knowledgeable activists running. Bob Cox knows New Rochelle and the school district inside and out. I'm not sure the same can be said for Pam Davis. If you want someone who already knows where the wasteful spending is, and already knows the district's strengths and weaknesses, then Bob Cox is the person. Who cares how congenial he is? Where some people see anger and finger-pointing, others see tenacity and accountability.
