New Rochelle's Curtain Shop Expands Hours for Holiday Season

New curtains and bedding are in stock for the holiday season.

New Rochelle Patch spoke with Louis Vaccaro, owner of The Curtain Shop and General Store, 541 Main St. in New Rochelle about sales going on now for Hanukkah, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Patch: What are people purchasing to get ready for the upcoming holidays?
Louis Vaccaro: Table linens and things for guest rooms like curtains, towels, etc. 

Patch: What new products/trends are you seeing for the holiday season?
LV: This season a new line of Lenox branded table and bath products has arrived and is selling well. We also have new curtains and bedding.

Patch: Any specials or deals you are offering?
LV: We are currently in the middle of a Hunter Douglas rebate program that ends in December. Rebates start at $100 and have no limit. 

Patch: What are your plans for Black Friday?
LV: Black Friday is always exciting for our store and our Web site. Our newsletter will be emailed out that week. People can sign up via email by contacting me at Louis@CurtainShop.com. We will be having special coupons and awesome buys for Black Friday as well as Cyber Monday. 

Patch: Are you having any extended hours or special events?
LV: We are happy to report a busy start of the holiday season. We have expanded our hours to include Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. We are also open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m to 5:30 p.m. On December 8, Santa will be visiting our store and photo opportunities will be available for $10. Cristina Cerone from CMC Photography will be here to take and print photos on the spot, and we will be serving coffee and hot chocolate.
