[VIDEO] Reading Event Brings New Rochelle Community Leaders to Students

The 10th annual Great Read Aloud was held at Jefferson Elementary School.

Member of the New Rochelle community, school district board members and county officials came to Jefferson Elementary School Friday to participate in the 10th annual Great Read Aloud.

The program was the creation of Jefferson's Assistant Principal LeAnn Bruno.

Readers had the choice of bringing their own books for the elementary students to hear or they could choose from selection provided by the school librarian.

Among those who read to the students were New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson, Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, school district Superintendent Richard Organisciak, school board President Chrisanne M. Petrone and Westchester County Assistant District Attorney Susan Brownbill-Vega.
