[VIDEO] New Rochelle Students Rewarded for Good Behavior

The special Carnival Day at Trinity Elementary School on Pelham Road featured indoor and outdoor activities.

Fun was on the agenda for the kindergarten through fifth-grade students at Trinity Elementary School Friday for Carnival Day.

The daylong event celebrated the positive behavior achieved by the students through reinforcement programs, such as Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports process (PBIS), the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program and the Second Step program (Social-Emotional Skills for Early Learning).

For each good behavior, individual students and classes were awarded Paws, which were tallied throughout the year. Having reached and exceeded 100,000 Paws—for Pawsitive behavior—the students were rewarded with the daylong carnival.
