New Rochelle School Budget Sessions Scheduled

The district will broadcast the sessions live from the New Rochelle High School Library.

The New Rochelle School District board of education has scheduled a series of meetings during which the community can provide input as the board shapes the 2013-14 budget.

There will be two Budget Community Input Forums and three Budget Review Sessions focusing on financing of the programs the district offers to children.

In an open letter to the community, Board President Chrisanne Petrone said she looks forward to seeing New Rochelle residents at the meetings.

"As always, we are committed to maintaining the excellence of our school system," she said. "At the same time, we remain ever mindful of the significant burden that quality education places upon our local taxpayers."
