New Rochelle's Iona Faces Concordia in Charity Softball Game

The two colleges will be playing a charity softball game Thursday at Rice Oval Baseball Field at Iona College.

For the second time, the faculty and staff of  and  will face off against each other in an annual charity softball game that is set to take place at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

Iona will play host, with the event taking place at the college's Rice Oval Baseball Field with all proceeds from the game going to Hope Community Services in New Rochelle.

HOPE is the largest emergency food pantry and soup kitchen in the region. In addition to providing food for the hungry, HOPE provides clothing, language skills, emotional support and more to those in need.

Participating employees from both colleges made a $20 donation, and spectators are asked to provide a $5 cash donation at the event.
