Movie Scene Filmed Tuesday at the College of New Rochelle

The was turned into a movie set Tuesday when a scene for the upcoming feature film Gods Behaving Badly was shot in the Wellness Center's swimming pool.

College spokesman John Coyne said Lakewood Brothers Production used CNR's pool to shoot a scene involving actor Ebon Moss-Bachrach.

The college's parking lot between Meadow Lane and Hemlock Place was will with trailers, lighting equipment trucks and crew members who were working on the film.

The movie is an adaptation of the best-selling novel by Marie Phillips and stars Christopher Walken, John Turturro, Sharon Stone, Alicia Silverstone, Edie Falco, Rosie Perez, Oliver Platt and Phylicia Rashad, among others.

Coyne said director Marc Turtletaub, who is co-founder of Lakewood Brothers, took time out from filming to visit with CNR’s new president Judith Huntington. He founded the production company in 2004 with Peter Saraf. The company's movies include the Academy Award-winning Little Miss Sunshine. Gods Behaving Badly is his directorial debut. Turtletaub co-wrote the screenplay with Josh Goldfaden.

The crew of the film also spent time with undergraduate communications students at the college to discuss movie and film production, Coyne said.

Gods Behaving Badly tells the story of the Greek Gods, alive and well and living in a brownstone in New York City, as they cross paths with a young couple. The intersection of the Gods and the mortals threatens not only the couple’s budding relationship, but the future of everything else.
