IBM Volunteers Help Jefferson Student during Engineering Week

IBM engineers help students build water filters Wednesday.

 

Engineers from IBM vistited fifth grader from Jefferson Elementary School in New Rochelle Wednesday as part of Engineering Week.

As part of engineering week, the fifth grader studied a lesson plan entitled "Smarter Planet: Helping to Save the World's Water Supply."

The project focuses on water pollution and the students are required to work with an IBM engineer in order to build and test a water filter.5th grade students from Jefferson Elementary in New Rochelle work with an engineer from IBM to build a water filter.  

Several volunteers from IBM participated in the event.
