THE COLLEGE OF NEW ROCHELLE HOLDS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS EVENT

As part of its educational mission, The College of New Rochelle (CNR) will present a Brown Bag Lunch panel on the topic of domestic violence and other issues of victimization of women on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at 12:15 p.m. in the Sweeny Campus Center on the Main Campus in New Rochelle. The noon day panel will feature Laura Bagnarol, moderator, an anti-violence trainer and consultant; Karen Simmons, staff member of the Special Prosecutions Division, Westchester County District Attorney’s Office; Karen D. Carroll, RN, Associate Director, Bronx Sexual Assault Response Team; and Jacqueline Andujar, Housing Specialist and Advocate, My Sisters’ Place, New York. Panelists will share personal and professional insights relating to intimate partner violence.

This event, sponsored by the Social Work Department and the Women's Studies Program of the School of Arts and Sciences, and CNR’s Office of Student Development, is free and open to the public.
