Literature Series for Seniors

The Club at Briarcliff Manor, the region’s premier senior living community under development in Briarcliff Manor, is partnering again with Westchester Community College to present a six-session Summer Literature Series for Seniors to be held Wednesday afternoons from June 22 to August 3.

Readings:  Short stories and other works of literature by authors including Herman Hesse, Edgar Allan Poe, Virginia Woolf, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Vladimir Nabokov, Anton Chekov, Kate Chopin, P.G. Woodhouse, Charlotte Perkins Gilman and Kurt Vonnegut

Professor:  Clark M. Jackowe, Adjunct English Professor at Westchester Community College. Mr. Jackowe, who has been a guest lecturer at New York University, holds a Bachelor’s degree from Purchase College and a Master’s degree from New York University. He has won numerous awards including a first prize in the Academy of American Poets Poetry Competition.
