Daily Sports Digest: New Rochelle Wrestling Advances in Final Four

The last two days have been some of the biggest in the season for section one wrestling. Yesterday were the quarterfinals of the Dual Meet Tournament for Division 1. New Rochelle dismantled Scarsdale 55-17, Fox Lane edged out Somers 44-31, Brewster eased past Mahopac 60-17 and North Rockland took care of Suffern 59-19. The four winners will meet up at North Rockland High School on Dec. 14.

College of New Rochelle women’s basketball player Alyssa Pechin has already won several individual accomplishments this year. Earlier in the week her trophy case got a little more crowded as Pechin was named the AD3I Player of the Week and the HVWAC Rookie of the Week awards.

Pelham High School freshman , a national scholarship that recognizes the best soccer players in the country on and off the field. Currently Fryer is one of 50 semifinalists for the Inspireum Soccer Awards and all she needs to get into the top 12 is collect as many of your votes as possible. The top 12 finalists will be announced Dec. 13.
