The men’s and woman’s basketball teams have come a long way this season and now both teams are a win away from clinching a national tournament berth.

The Lady Mustangs are defending NJCAA Division II Champions and if the 15th ranked women’s team can win Saturday at 5 p.m. then the squad will appear in nationals for the ninth consecutive year. Monroe will host Union County this weekend.

Weekly Sports Poll:

This week’s poll deals with the New York Jets and quarterbacks Mark Sanchez and Peyton Manning. If you were sitting in General Manager Mike Tannenbaum’s chair would you make a hard push for the NFL’s only four-time MVP, would you ride out the turbulence with the Sanchize, or would you bring in Manning to mentor Sanchez in his fourth year in the league?
