New Rochelle’s Jessie and Cassidy Cruz won the state’s doubles championship, and they were just named to the all section team. Ursuline’s Sabrina Barisano, the Section 1 singles Champion was also selected to the team.
Newbury sophomore basketball player and New Rochelle native Eric Watson was just named the New England Collegiate Conference player of the week. Watson led the Nighthawks on a furious comeback against Eastern Nazarene.
