After New Rochelle won by stopping White Plains on a two-point conversation last week, Iona went for two and the win over the weekend and failed to convert. With under a minute left Mario Biaggi led the Gaels down the field, and after another touchdown pass, Iona Prep decided to go for the win on the road. Unfortunately, the attempt failed giving St. Anthony’s a 21-20 victory.

Local soccer teams didn’t have any better luck as both New Rochelle’s girls and boys teams fell on the road.

Both local volleyball teams looked great. New Rochelle won a matchup 3-2 in a very close game where Ursuline cruised passed their opponents in straight sets. Assuming the weather stays nice, Ursuline will be back in action today as the Koalas host Yorktown.
