Campus Updates for New Rochelle Grads

Local students graduated this spring from Clark University and Quinnipiac University.

The following undergraduate students from New Rochelle received degrees from Quinnipiac University on May 19:

  • Ross McMahon received a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management 
  • Amanda Walters received a Bachelor of Science in Health Science/Occupational Therapy

Also, New Rochelle's Laura Valenti received a Master of Business Administration from Quinnipiac on May 12. Additionally, Valenti is among 13 Quinnipiac students traveling to Hungary this month to meet with business and government leaders. Valenti will tour Parliament and meet executives companies including E.OP-Hungaria, Exxon/Mobil, General Electric and Morgan Stanley. 

Quinnipiac is located in Hamden, CT and enrolls 6,200 full-time undergraduate and 2,300 graduate students.

Cara M. Gross of New Rochelle received a degree from Clark University on Sunday, May 19. Gross graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.

Carolyn Mugar, executive director of Farm Aid delivered the Clark's commencement address. Mugar told the story of Farm Aid, and how musician Willie Nelson, whose original plan was to host one concert to raise money and awareness for family farmers, sparked a movement.  

Clark University is a small liberal arts-based research university located in Worcester, MA.
