Readers' Choice: Caterers for Memorial Day

Readers' Choice is your chance to tell us your favorites in and around New Rochelle.

Memorial Day. Sometimes it's the first opportunity to haul out the grill and start preparing meals out of doors. Many people think it is the official start of summer, though the calendar—and the fact that school is in session for a few more weeks—takes issue with that.

What if you want to have a Memorial Day gathering but you would rather have it caterered? Who would you turn to here in New Rochelle for those hamburgers and hot dogs, those summer salads and the occasional tray of ziti?

Here are a few of our suggestions. If we missed someone, let us know in the comments.

Voting will close at 9 a.m. Friday. The winner will be announced around noon Friday.

Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch. A PDF copy of the official Readers' Choice rules is attached to this article.

So tell us who you would turn to when catering your Memorial Day celebration. And don't forget to tell us why in the comments below.

I think it's great that Pamela Davis stepped up to run and I would be glad to vote for her any otherRead More year. But this year we have one of New Rochelle's most dedicated and knowledgeable activists running. Bob Cox knows New Rochelle and the school district inside and out. I'm not sure the same can be said for Pam Davis. If you want someone who already knows where the wasteful spending is, and already knows the district's strengths and weaknesses, then Bob Cox is the person. Who cares how congenial he is? Where some people see anger and finger-pointing, others see tenacity and accountability.
