Iona College students participating in a presidential debate viewing party sponsored by Patch at the college in New Rochelle were mixed Thursday night on who won this first debate, but they were unanimous in their opinions that watching the televised debate was worth their time.
About 70 students gathered at Iona's Robert V. LaPenta Student Union on the North Avenue campus to watch the debate and discuss the candidates afterward. New Rochelle Patch Local Editor Michael Woyton moderated the post-debate discussion, which included a panel of political science students along with students from a variety of other studies who joined the discussion.
