Review of Cabaret Permits on City Council Agenda Tuesday Night

New Rochelle City Council agenda for Tuesday, June 11th includes student sports hall of fame honorees, proposal for Drake Ave. parking meters, and review of cabaret permit applications.


Six students will be announced as newest members of the New Rochelle Sports Hall of Fame at the City Council meeting Tuesday, June 11th. The students will each receive Edward Murphy Scholarship awards:

  • Page Keating will receive a scholarship in the amount of $500
  • Guiliana LaGumina will receive a scholarship in the amount of $500
  • William Bishop will receive a scholarship in the amount of $750
  • Briyah Brown will receive a scholarship in the amount of $750
  • Lara Gaffney will receive a scholarship in the amount of $750
  • Alesandra Greco will receive a scholarship in the amount of $750
The student portion of the meeting is scheduled for 7:15PM.

The public hearing portion of the agenda includes a recommendation from Alexander Tergis, commissioner of public works, recommending 30-minute metered parking in front of 102 Drake Ave.

Requests for Cabaret Permits are also on the agenda, including A Place 2 Go restaurant on 273 North Ave., Capriccio Latino at 414 Pelham Road, and Modern Restaurant and Pizzeria at 310 Huguenot Street.

The City Council agenda in its entirety is attached. The City Council meeting will be held at City Hall, 515 North Ave. on Tuesday, June 11th beginning 3:45PM.
