Report: 65K in Westchester, Rockland and Putnam Signed Up for Obamacare

About 1 million New Yorkers have signed up for health care through the Affordable Care Act, nicknamed Obamacare.

About 65,000 residents of the Lower Hudson Valley have signed up for Obamacare through the New York exchange, according to The Journal News based on information from a report by NYStateofHealth.

Reporter Jane Lerner writes that six months into the implementation of the federal and state initiative, area residents are generally satisfied with the program's choices. A total of about 1 million New York State residents have signed up for Obamacare.

"So far, it's working out great for us," Dobbs Ferry resident Chris Saraceni told The Journal News. "No problems at all."
