Generator Grant Funds OK'd for New Rochelle City Hall

The matching grant comes from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

The New Rochelle City Council approved a resolution Tuesday to accept a grant for an emergency generator for City Hall.

The city got the grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency through the Hazard Mitigation Assistance Legislated Pre-Disaster Mitigation Grant Program.

The project is estimated at $250,000 which was earmarked in the City Hall HVAC Improvements estimate in September. The grant will provide 75 percent of project's costs up to $125,000.
