The County Executive learned how to shuck oysters at the Rye restaurant.

County Executive Rob Astorino kicked off the annual Hudson Valley Restaurant Week at Morgan’s Fish House in Rye Monday, March 11. Morgan's chef Greg McDowell taught the county executive how to properly shuck oysters. Morgan's owners Jim Sullivan and Lisa McKiernan also joined in the fun.

Hudson Valley Restaurant Week showcases farm-to-table, sustainable products at more than 185 restaurants across seven counties—making it one of the largest Restaurant Week events in the country.

The event runs until March 24. You can read more about it here.
