Unusual Suspects: Gun Menacing; Fight at CVS; Missing Truck

Recent weird and unusual crime in the Hudson Valley. Reports do not indicate a conviction.

A landlord is accused of using a handgun to menace residents of his Somers property. Police report that the landlord, a woman and her son were involved in a dispute, during which time the landlord showed a gun. The landlord was in possession of a 38-caliber handgun when he was taken into custody. 

Responding to a report of an unconscious driver near the on-ramp of I-684 Northbound on Route 172, police discovered a sleeping 25-year-old man behind the wheel of a gray Chevy Equinox. The man was reportedly snoring and did not waken even after emergency medics performed a blood glucose level test by pricking his skin (the test showed normal levels). Police report that several minutes later the man woke up and after exiting the car, failed field sobriety tests. 

After police caught a 20-year-old Bronx man carrying approximately 12 fake credit cards at a CVS in Harrison, police say he tried to avoid arrest and began a physical fight with an officer. 

A New Rochelle man parked his 2005 Peterbilt Tractor in the Village of Mamaroneck Monday evening but when he went to the truck at approximately 4 a.m., only the empty trailer was left. Police say the power cords and airlines connecting the truck to the trailer had been disconnected. The incident is under investigation.

Police responded to a call about a man sleeping in a car in Hastings-on-Hudson on Main Street with his genitalia exposed. The man appeared to be drunk and police took his keys after releasing him at the scene. 

Police warned Ossining residents about a gray fox acting in a "protective manner."

An 18-year-old Patterson teen is accused of damaging property in Southeast. The teen uprooted street signs, allegedly placing one on a car and causing scratches and gouges to the paint. The total estimated cost of the property damage is approximately $4,200.
