Two Sent to Hospital in New Rochelle Stabbing

The incident occurred on Main Street in downtown New Rochelle.

An early morning Friday stabbing in New Rochelle sent two men to the hospital.

New Rochelle Police Lt. Christopher Hearle said the incident took place around 4:30 a.m. at La Clave nightclub, 596 Main St., though it wasn't clear if the stabbing happened inside or outside the club.

The two men were stabbed by one assailant, who then fled from the scene.

The victims, who would not cooperate with the police, were taken to Jacobi Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Hearle said it was not known what caused the argument that led to the stabbings.

The incident remains under investigation, he said.
