It seems to happen frequently.

The situation was made worse by people thinking they could go south on Old Haverstraw road. Which has been closed over a month because of the culvert work being done.

We were still stuck in traffic and rerouted 7 p.m. .... what a long day of traffic havoc from something that happened in the morning. Thought for sure on the way home things would be fine. We think we will try going to work a different way in the morning. Hope to get an e-mail update on the reopening of the road from Pearl River Patch. Thank you!

Hi Bonnie. You're right, at 7 p.m. traffic still seemed severely backed up, especially Lake Road in Congers, when I left for a meeting. When I returned home around 9 p.m. there was no traffic and things seemed to return to normal. I will check in the morning if 9W is reopened
