Suspect Charged in Robbery of SUV

A man from Scarsdale, NY is facing a variety of charges including robbery, stemming from the theft of his victim's $70,000 Cadillac Escalade, according to a Greenwich Police report.

Mario D'Abruzzo, 30, of 148 Brook St., Scarsdale, surrendered Jan. 30 to Greenwich Police who obtained an arrest warrant charging him with first-degree larceny,third-degree robbery, third-degree assault and threatening, according to the report.

D'Abruzzo is accused assaulting a man, threatening him and stealing the Escalade during a Jan. 23 incident at the McDonald's, 268 W. Putnam Ave. He was released after posting $20,000 bond and scheduled to appear Feb. 6 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Drunk driving charged

A 72-year-old Greenwich resident has been arrested on drunk driving-related charges by police investigating the report of a car crash on Guinea Road on Jan. 25.

According to a police report, Greenwich Police could smell alcohol on the suspect whose "gait was unsteady and had slurred speech." Franciczek Narolewski, of 85 Riverside Ave., Greenwich, also failed field sobriety tests in the incident that occurred just before 11 p.m., according to the report.

Narolewski was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to carry insurance and failure to drive in proper lane. He was released after posting a $250 bond and scheduled to appear Feb. 8 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Overdose victim arrested

Greenwich Police responding to a report of a woman not breathing, arrested the woman on a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to a police report, police were called to the woman's home about 11:30 p.m. Jan. 31. The woman "was breathing and it determined the woman had a drug overdose." Drug paraphernalia was found next to her, according to the report.

Alexandra K. Moran, 24, of 158 Putnam Park, was issued a misdemeanor summons and given a Feb. 8 appearance date in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Failure to appear in court charged

Todd Kane, 39, of 12 Weaver St., Greenwich, surrendered to Greenwich Police who had an arrest warrant charging him with second-degree failure to appear in court. He is accused of failing to appear Jan. 7 in state Superior Court in Stamford to answer unspecified motor vehicle charges. Further details weren't included in the report.

Kane was released after posting a $1,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court Jan. 30.
