State Police: Texas Woman Accused of Unemployment Fraud

The woman is set to appear in the City of New Rochelle court.

A Texas woman was arrested Thursday on charges of unemployment fraud.

The State Police from the Hawthorne barracks arrested Anna M. Olvera, age 36, of San Antonio, Texas, for third-degree grand larceny, a Class D felony, and first-degree falsifying business records, a Class E felony.

The arrest stemmed from a lengthy investigation with the New York State Department of Labor, Special Investigation Division. The Department of Labor stated that Olvera unlawfully collected unemployment insurance benefits while she was gainfully employed.

She was issued an appearance ticket ordering her to appear in the City of New Rochelle Court Friday.
