Source of Smoke Condition at New Rochelle Police Building Unknown

Shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday the New Rochelle Fire Department received a call about the smell of smoke at the New Rochelle Police Department building on North Avenue.

Chief Louis DiMeglio said there was a report of an electrical fire smell.

He said two circuit breakers had tripped, bit no source of the smoke could be found.

Fire fighters at the scene said they suggested having an electrician check out the wiring as soon as possible, DiMeglio said.
