Police: Domestic Dispute Evacuates Apartments

Police find gun in Main Street apartment, bring in father and son.

Reports of a domestic dispute at 759 Main St. in New Rochelle Tuesday night led to the closure of the road and the evacuation of an apartment building, police said.

The incident -- which occurred at about 7 p.m. -- prompted police to close a portion of Main Street between Drake Avenue and Kings Highway because it was believed a weapon was involved, said Sgt. John Inzeo.

Police ended up bringing a father and son to the station for questioning, and found a "long gun" in the apartment, Inzeo said.

An investigation is ongoing, authorities added.
