Police: Deceased Male Driven to Sound Shore Medical Center

The victim likely died of an overdose.

Two friends apparently drove a deceased male to Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester in New Rochelle on Sunday morning, New Rochelle police confirmed to Patch.

Police received a call at 8:50 a.m. this morning when the corpse of a 22-year-old man was discovered in a car at the hospital. The victim's identity is being withheld pending the family's notification. 

All three individuals in the car are from Westchester County, though none from New Rochelle. The two friends who drove the corpse are both in their 20s and were the victim's friends, said police.

The cause of death is still under investigation, but an overdose is likely, according to police.
