Two Saturdays ago at 11:00am I was driving down Main Street. An elderly and frail woman was crossing Main Street near Planet Fitness. She was walking really slowly and had her cart. She wasn't going to make it across the street. A Monroe college student with basketball t-shirt, backpack, etc. ran out into the middle of the street and politely stopped all the traffic and helped her across. Monroe College is okay with me. I see people trying to better their lives and a college making a bright oasis in New Rochelle's downtown. What you see and I see are very different.
