Bullet Found in Pelham Man's Back

A medical examination discovered a bullet in the man's back after an altercation in New Rochelle.

Around 2 a.m. Sunday, a 17-year-old Pelham resident was in an altercation with an unknown suspect at the intersection of North Avenue and Anderson Street in New Rochelle.

Believing the pain in his back was the result of multiple kicks sustained during the fight, the man eventually decided—as the pain worsened—to go to around 5:30 a.m.

Doctors there discovered a wound and what appeared to be a bullet from a small-caliber firearm lodged in his back.
