1.) A Valentine's Treat: Two Spoons Full Of Shakespeare and a Pinch of Romance = Love’s Fire
Where/When: 735 Anderson Hill Rd, Purchase, NY, Thursday and Friday at 8p.m.; Saturday at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Why Go: The performance features an assortment of short plays by some of America’s most popular playwrights that were inspired by William Shakespeare. Short plays will be performed by playwrights such as Eric Bogosian, William Finn, John Guare, Tony Kushner, Marsha Norman, Ntozake Shange, and Wendy Wasserstein.

2.) "From Jazz to Soul"
Where/When: Greenburgh Public Library, 300 E Main St, Elmsford, NY, Saturday 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Why Go: Vocalist Rhonda Denét will performs a 60-minute showcase of nonstop entertainment featuring songs made popular by great artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight and more.

3.) Black is the New Black ‘A Theater Festival Homage to African American Playwrights.’
Where/When:, 311 Huguenot St, New Rochelle, NY, 3 p.m.
Why Go: The event will feature five short plays by NYU Tisch School of the Arts graduate playwrights Allison Davis, Eve Crusto, Mosi Singleton, James Tyler, and Senibo Myers.

4.) In Concert: Diana Jones and Paul Sachs
Where/When: Beczak Environmental Education Center, 35 Alexander St, Yonkers, NY, 7 p.m.
Why Go: Jones and Sachs will perform a number of original acoustical numbers at the Beczak Environmental Center. The event includes free beer from the shows sponsor, the Captain Lawrence Brewing Company. Bring your own mug.

5.) Finding and Feeding Winter Birds
Where/When:, 99 Dromore Rd., Scarsdale, Sunday, Feb. 19, 2 p.m.
Why Go: Naturalist Dean Fausel will lead a winter walk, discussing how birds of the area find food and shelter during the frigid winter months. During the walk, visitors will get to check out the center’s Birds of Prey exhibit and observe the busy bird feeders.
Pricing:  $7 adults; $6 seniors/students; $5 children 2-12; free for members and children under 2.
