Debbie is a huge lap-dog wannabee.
A medium- to large-size Doberman mix, Debbie weighs 55 pounds, appears to be housetrained, is friendly with everyone she meets and is comfortable around other dogs.
She was rescued from an rural overcrowded shelter, where larger dogs, especially those that are black, are often euthanized to make room for more dogs needing shelter.
We were just too happy to be able to open our door to Debbie.
