Funeral Today for New Rochelle Firefighter Keith M. Morris

Mass at Holy Name Church, followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.

A funeral service is set for 9:30 a.m. today at Holy Name Church in New Rochelle for New Rochelle firefighter , a lifelong resident of New Rochelle.

. He was 30.

He was born on Sept. 29, 1981 in New Rochelle, to Stephen and Linda (Iaccino) Morris. He was a firefighter for the New Rochelle Fire Department for over eight years.

In addition to his parents, Stephen and Linda, Keith is survived by his brother Drew and his sister Shae; his paternal grandmother Jeanne Morris and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visiting hours were at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc., 16 Shea Pl., New Rochelle. A funeral Mass is scheduled for today, Saturday, 9:30 am at Holy Name Church. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.  

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to “Butterflies from Jodie,” the Jodie Torigian Charitable Fund, 31 President St., New Rochelle, NY 10801.

Firefigthers attending the funeral to honor Morris are expected to be lining up in front of the church at 9 a.m.

I think it's great that Pamela Davis stepped up to run and I would be glad to vote for her any otherRead More year. But this year we have one of New Rochelle's most dedicated and knowledgeable activists running. Bob Cox knows New Rochelle and the school district inside and out. I'm not sure the same can be said for Pam Davis. If you want someone who already knows where the wasteful spending is, and already knows the district's strengths and weaknesses, then Bob Cox is the person. Who cares how congenial he is? Where some people see anger and finger-pointing, others see tenacity and accountability.
