People at Market: What They're Saying
Yesenia Bautista together with her husband Rogelio operate a small family farm in the fertile “Black Dirt” farming area in Orange County. While experienced farmers, evident by the great produce and fruits that they grow, they are first generation farm owners. They love farming and want to grow not only vegetables and fruits but the size of their farm for their family and for us, lovers their produce. At the Grand Market one of their popular products are their full array of herbs, including many Spanish specialties such as papalo, prolanos, jalapenos and albahaca.
The Grand Market is wonderful and for us has been very successful. We love how friendly all the people from New Rochelle are and how helpful the market staff has been. We enjoyed becoming part of the community and making so many new friends. It was also great that our Spanish herbs are so popular because there is such a large Spanish community who love cooking traditional dishes. We give thanks to everyone for making it such an amazing year and look forward to continuing to see you all at the Grand Winter Market.
